Had a great run on Sunday. Left Denny’s Ramona approx. 7:30am after a hearty breakfast. Met at the trail head at approx. 8:45am, had 8 rigs with 6 members and 5 guests. Desert was in full bloom, very pretty. Nobody left any paint at Jeep Squeeze.
Rod and Howie climbed Heart Attack Hill on the left side without incident. The third obstacle was a challenge for a few on the trip. Had lunch in Sandstone Canyon, where there was evidence of the recent quakes. Some of the walls had fallen which prevented us from continuing on into the canyon. From there we went to Diablo Drop-Off and then on to Split Mountain where we encountered a large Ram. He was a beautiful sight and not bothered by us at all. We ended the day at Carlee’s in Borrego Springs for dinner. I think it was a great time had by all.
Thanks for joining us.
