|Run||Rating||Recommended Equipment||Run Description|
|SUV Run||1||Any 4x4 vehicle with no other modifications||We'll take everyone around Superstition Mt. with stops to learn/test some basic skills. While we work our way around the mountain via sand, pole line road, etc., we will probably spot some of the other runs in the distance. We'll go up to the base of Sand Dam to see the action there, (usually this is the LUNCH STOP)-provide your own food & seating), but we'll still have more distance to go. As we work our way around to the south side again we'll come to Sandslide Canyon. By the time we reached this last year everyone was ready to give it a try. Then we'll head back to camp...|
|Rabbit's Foot||2||Anti-sway bar disconnected. Front & rear tow attachments. Minimum 31” off road tires and suspension lift suggested.||Intermediate run with sand/rock mix (lockers not required, but could be helpful). Starting out on the South East end of the mountain with a nice sand playground warm-up area, into interesting uphill "S" turn with a sand trap, back down to the valley floor. Continuing on through some suspension twisters back into a second sand playground allowing for some unsupervised/optional sand play. Then proceeding to Wrangler Canyon, which is a potential fender scrubber, to our lunch spot (little or no shade). After lunch, we'll continue around the mountain, weaving in and out of washes and whoop-dee-doos. Time allowing, we'll make our way to The Mine then circle back and end our run at Sand Dam.|
|Lost Dutchman||3||Slightly Modified. Anti-sway bar disconnected. Front & rear tow attachments. Suspension lift and 1 hard locker suggested. Minimum 31” tires strongly suggested||Lost Dutchman is a moderate and scenic run suitable for full sized vehicles. This is the only run that ventures to the west side of the mountain. We’ll start off at Sand Canyon. Next we’ll head towards the back of the mountain and play on hard packed dirt and rocks. If you are a novice, you will find this trail challenging and fun. Although damage can occur on any trail, with a little care you should have minimal trouble on this run. We’ll finish the run over at Sand Dam, where you can continue to play in the sand.|
|Tilted Table E-W||3+||Anti-sway bar disconnected. Front & rear tow attachments. Suspension lift and 1 hard locker strongly suggested. Minimum 31” tires REQUIRED, 32” or larger tires strongly suggested|
|Tilted Table W-E||3+||Anti-sway bar disconnected. Front & rear tow attachments. Suspension lift and 1 hard locker strongly suggested. Minimum 31” tires REQUIRED, 32” or larger tires strongly suggested||You will do a little soft sand on the way up to the third tower, or is the second, or maybe the fourth. Once there, you will drop down the backside and wind down to PENNY CANYON. After getting rid of your “unlucky bad penny”, you will come out on the top of the MINE TRAIL. Working your way down, you will look for the lost treasures of the mine. Once at the bottom, most likely the only “precious metal” you will find are broken driveline parts. Further down the trail you will pop up onto the TILTED TABLE. It’s bad luck to fall off! This is a series of small obstacles except at the end are JAMIE’S CRACK or JAMIE’S CRACK II (your choice). Both of these will require the use of your locker/s and will challenge your suspension and articulation. No bypass… Oh darn the luck! Right after the “Cracks“ there is a tight squeeze that likes rocker panels. Good luck for your body shop man. Now it’s time for the climb up BIL’S HILL. (Yes one L in BIL. He had bad luck as a child and lost one “L” in a bicycle accident.) Bil’s Hill is the toughest obstacle you will see on this trail, if you’re lucky enough to make it this far. If you feel that your luck is not going well, you can just watch the action on Bil’s Hill or opt to take a less difficult route up called BULL DOG’s HILL, then you can go down Bil’s Hill when it’s clear of vehicles. Once everyone has had their fill of hills, we’ll head south through a little gully over to SAND DAM to frustrate your abilities and, of course, your luck. Either make it up the damn dam or go around the edge. Once on top, we’ll play a little in the sand on our way back to camp. (Was anyone lucky enough to get a map?)|
|Black Cat E-W||4||Highly Modified. Suspension lift and at least 1 hard locker REQUIRED, 2 hard lockers suggested. Minimum 32” tires REQUIRED. Winch suggested||Black Cat offers deep sand, unforgiving rocks, tight spots, hill climbs, three-point turns and steep declines. Even though one locker is required for this run, two lockers will greatly reduce your stress level (and your repair bill). If you are a novice, you will find this trail extremely challenging. At the end of the day you will feel a sense of accomplishment not often experienced on lesser trails. Although Black Cat can be completed without damage, don’t be surprised if you pick up a ding or two. So give Black Cat a try, you won't be disappointed!|

|Voodoo||4||Highly Modified. Suspension lift and at least 1 hard locker REQUIRED, 2 hard lockers suggested. Minimum 32” tires REQUIRED. Winch suggested||The trail starts off in soft sand as we work our way up to the east side of Sand Dam. After crossing below the dam we will make our way to Towstrap Hill. The approach to Towstrap Hill is a winding and narrow fun trail. Once on top, we will touch on the Black Cat Trail but quickly turn off to climb even higher. After we reach the top we start a loose rock decent into a canyon. Once down, we will loop around and climb up out of the canyon to the Black Cat Trail once again. After a few hundred feet we will drop back down on to Towstrap Hill and slide and wind our way to the base of Sand Dam.|
|Knock on Wood||4+||Highly Modified. Suspension lift and 2 hard lockers REQUIRED. Minimum 33” tires highly suggested. Winch highly suggested. Expect vehicle damage. EXPERIENCED DRIVERS ONLY||We will start with a short rocky hill climb to verify lockers and low range are operational. We will then drop into the Mine Trail. If you had trouble with the hill climb, you will want to bypass the short rock garden at the bottom of the canyon. Those that had trouble can join one of two red runs that will be following us into the Mine trail and continue their day. Those that are left will proceed to the Knock on Wood canyon for a challenging rock crawl up a tight twisty canyon. After lunch, we will run parts of Broken Arrow before we head over to the Sand Dam area. We will finish the day with a few runs at the dam and then head back to camp.|
|Broken Arrow||4+||Highly Modified. Suspension lift and 2 hard lockers REQUIRED. Minimum 33” tires highly suggested. Winch highly suggested. Expect vehicle damage. EXPERIENCED DRIVERS ONLY||This run is not for the faint of hearts. It has a steep sand climb in the beginning. Followed by a narrow and rough rock garden. After that there is a long rocky uphill follow by a very steep and loose downhill. The rest of the run is more of the same. Due to the difficulty and length of this run expect a long day, we never finish early. This run has a history of damage including one bad roll over, broken hubs, broken axels, broken shock mounts, and some body damage. If this sounds like fun to you please join us for an exciting day of four wheeling.|
|Wishbone||4+||Highly Modified. Suspension lift and 2 hard lockers REQUIRED. Minimum 33” tires highly suggested. Winch highly suggested. Expect vehicle damage. EXPERIENCED DRIVERS ONLY||The trail crew will review the vehicles in the line up and will politely request you choose another run if the “trail and the rig” aren’t a good match. This run will start out with sand, then easy rock running. The Wishbone trail will start in a tight rock canyon with many tight off camber turns, including ledges and loose rocks. We have purposely refrained from activity on this trail to keep it as primitive as possible for this run!! You gotta have a good time!! If all goes well, ie. No major breakage…we should be done about 12:30 pm. This will give us “play time” on the mountain.|
